I’ve been reflecting on the last 12 months and, perhaps unexpectedly, one of the things I’ve taken the most enjoyment from is helping other estate agents and business owners move their businesses forward.

After 20+ years in property, I’ve made plenty of mistakes, learnt a lot the hard way, built a business from scratch and experienced most of the highs and lows that come with it.

Being able to use some of that experience to help others with growth, strategy, people, structure or simply being a sounding board has given me a real buzz.

Sometimes you’re so close to your own business that you just need someone from the outside to challenge your thinking, ask a few awkward questions and help you see things differently.

I’d like to do more of it.
