72hrs Back in the Mountains, and Looking Ahead

The past week marked an important moment for us. Seventy two hours in Switzerland, packed with meetings and conversations, offered both perspective and momentum as we quietly plan the next phase of our journey in the region.

There is something about returning to the mountains that never really changes. When your heart has always been there, it does not take long to feel at home again. That said, getting your head fully back into work mode can take a moment. This trip was exactly what was needed. Being back on the ground, sitting across the table from trusted local advisers, reminded me precisely why this market matters so much to us and why it feels like the right time to be here again.

Much of the visit was spent reconnecting with our local bank and legal team, ensuring that the foundations are firmly in place as we plan ahead. These relationships are critical. In a market like Switzerland, where detail, structure, and trust matter enormously, taking the time to align properly is not just sensible, it is essential.

We will be returning at the end of the month for our first proper stay, and I am genuinely looking forward to immersing myself fully. We already have the mandate to market a number of superb chalets, with initial values ranging from CHF 1.5m to CHF 3m. Each one offers something unique, and the opportunity to bring them to market thoughtfully and strategically is something I am excited to get stuck into.

One of the most rewarding parts of the week was reconnecting with clients I worked with between 2007 and 2013. Catching up with people who trusted me with their property journeys all those years ago was both humbling and energising. Thank you to everyone who took the time to reach out with messages of support. It truly means a great deal and reinforces why long term relationships sit at the heart of everything we do.

I have always been a strong believer in collaboration. Property is ultimately a people business, and the best outcomes are achieved when professionals work together with shared intent and mutual respect. Over the coming months, I am very much looking forward to meeting and working alongside property professionals across the wider region, building relationships that are both commercially strong and personally rewarding.

This week felt like the beginning of something significant. The direction is clear, the foundations are in place, and the energy is building.

Exciting times ahead.
